Welcome to the new website for music publisher Wynwood Music Co, Inc!
Wynwood Music was established in the early 60s by Peter Kuykendall with it's initial roots centered in Blues, and Bluegrass music. Early success with cuts from Cream, The Rolling Stones, Emmylou Harris, and a number of very popular Bluegrass groups helped boost Wynwood's reputation into the mainstream. In recent times most of our business operations are now handled by Glen Kuykendall in Nashville, TN plus our music catalog has grown to cover an even broader range of styles and classifications. The last few years have brought two cuts in the blockbuster film "O Brother Where Art Thou?", a cut in the film "Walk The Line" the classic about Johnny Cash, an audio AND video cut in the Rolling Stones 40th Anniversary CD/DVD box set of "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out", plus a newly written bluegrass cut was featured on Bobby Osborne's new "Bluegrass and Beyond" CD. Our catalog of songs includes much timeless material by Nehemiah "Skip" James, "Mississippi" John Hurt, Kenny Baker, Robert Wilkins, The Stanley Brothers, and many more. We also have some great newer songs from writers such as Karen Pendley, Nolan Murray, and others.
Please feel free to contact us if you need further information on song licensing and/or song submission.
